Terra Thermal Signature Series
Using molten glass, Christopher Mosey tries to simulate the heat and chemistry that creates the naturally occurring phenomena known as geodes. Replicating coarse rocks that have been cracked open, he highlights the hollow cavity of shimmering crystals within. - "I try to amend this aesthetic dilemma with the skills I learned through my formal training as a potter. Clay is a far more tactile medium, inviting touch with its rough texture. Using my experience working clay, I experiment and create glass objects that also invite touch and exploit the tactile quality that glass can possess."
